Goals or Wishful Thinking

So now we have come down to the time where everyone begins to think about what they want to do in the next year. I have now come to the conclusion that unless the things you are thinking about are realistic and achievable then there really is no point in pursuing them.

This year my goals are simple...
  1. Do something daily to make my wife's life a bit easier.
  2. Do one thing each day that I wouldn't normally do. (Go out of my way to do something extra)
  3. Cultivate a relationship with my Father in Heaven through prayer and scripture study.
  4. Pray Daily!
  5. Laugh as often as possible.
I hope that each of you will take the time to make goals and to write them down. Doing that is the first step to achieving them. Good Luck!

Seasons of Love

525,600 Minutes! Thats how many minutes there are in one year. Though it seems like alot we don't seem to use them as effectively as we probably could. First off I have to just say that most of the world spends about 174,720 Minutes sleeping. So that brings the total time down to about... 350,880 Minutes that we have to work with in any given year. So take a minute and think back over the last year and just ask yourself "What did I do with that time?" Did you accomplish your goals? Did you do something extraordinary in your life. How much of that time was spent thanking someone or saying hello, or I love you? Even if you only spent 5 Mins every day to do those things you would only use 1,820 Mintes over the whole year.

This year I have been truly blessed. To those who read this I would like to say... "Thank you and I love you."

May the coming year be better that the previous and may you find the joy of life in everything you do.

Happy Holidays and Happy New Year!

A Work in Progress

I really sometimes wish that the day had more hours in it or that I didn't have to sleep so that I could use that time to do more effective things. Things are changing everyday and as they change so do we. We have to use our time effectively or it will slip through our fingers.

Emily and I are working to get both her and I into school. She is going to be an Esthetician (Skin Care, Facials, etc.) and I am going to be going to do more Education (BA) in Art and Graphic Design with and emphasis on Digital Media (websites, blogs, video, etc) So needless to say we are going to be very busy with our lives. We have decided to move in with my grandma and grandpa love so that we can save our rent money for school and debt and other things of that nature. We are also doing it so that we can both go to school but still have time at home to spend with each other instead of working 24/7 to try and make ends meet.

So this week we are getting our entire apartment packed up and moving it to a storage facility. We will pay the 100 dollars or so for the storage and just take the bare minimum with us to grandma's house. Dutchess of course will be coming with us and Grandma is actually excited to have her there because she is so fun to play with and she is small enough that she can pick her up.

I am glad that we are finally putting our plan into action and that things are finally happening. It is kind of fun going off on new adventures and doing new things. It will be hard and it will be different than anything else but I think that with the love that Emily and I share we will be able to come out of this even better than we think.

ONE YEAR!

Man does time fly. Okay time for a bit of an update.

Emily and I have been married for one year on April 25th (yesterday) I am so happy and I have never felt more alive and loved as I do right now. Emily and I have a great relationship and we are striving everyday to stay close and talk to each other. Most days we go to bed together and then lay there and talk about anything and everything for at least an hour. It is so nice to have someone who I can openly talk to and who will help me solve my problems.

The new year has also brought a new addition to our family.... no, not a baby... but a new puppy. Her name is dutchess and we are so thrilled to have her. She is a cocker spaniel and was born on February 2nd. She is still being potty trained but we are getting there. She is a bundle of energy and goes and goes until she just crashes.

I will be posting more pictures and videos of her soon so come back. okay?!
